The Nursery

Kyle and I have been working on getting the nursery prepped and painted this week. We came up with a color scheme that we think will work for our girl and then for our future babies.  This has been a fun opportunity for Kyle and I to work together and enjoy doing something for our little one.  We think it turned out great!

The starting point

You can see from the paint samples, we knew the blue was right but it took a few different shades of green before we found the one that we liked the best.

Kyle surprised me as part of my birthday day activities by painting the first coat of blue.  We had gone out to dinner and I thought that when we got home that night, we would be spending a couple hours in there.  Nope!  It was a great surprise.

Two coats of each of the green and blue and the painters tape removed.

A special THANK YOU to my brother, Loren, for lending his time and talents helping us install the finishing touch of the chair rail!

The only thing we have left to do is girly it up with pink accessories which we have yet to buy but are excited to shop for!  When it's fully finished, you'll get the pics.
