Are you sick of nursery updates yet?

Here are a few pictures of the latest additions to the nursery.  Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

You might not be able to see it that well but the binding on her quilt matches the pink fabric on the mobile. It was fun making this quilt for baby girl and can only hope that she will love it as much as I loved making it for her.
 The back is SO soft!

Baby Girl Blessing

We are so blessed to have the love of both of our families.  It means the world to both Kyle and I that grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends alike love our little girl so much.  Baby girl has already been the recipient of so many wonderful and unexpected presents.  The latest is this blessing dress, shoes and bonnet that Grandma Rene' crocheted.  Pictures do not do it justice.  IT IS INCREDIBLE!  Each inch of design took about an hour to do so you can imagine just how long this took to complete.  I cannot wait to be able to dress baby girl and hand her over to her dad to receive her baby blessing.  It will be an honor to get to let her wear something that so much love went into making. From me to you mom, I LOVE IT and hope you know that for how many times I told you thank you, you deserve a thousand more.  I never would have dreamed that she could have something so beautiful to receive her blessing in.  I can't wait for everyone to be here for that occasion and to be able to show baby girl off for all to see.

A Lot done, a lot left to do!

This weekend has been great.  My mom had a day off work so she made the trip over.  Since Kyle has to work on Saturdays, it gave us women (my mom, Paige and myself) a chance to spend some girl time together.  It was awesome! We started out at the fabric store gathering the materials that I need to start on baby girl's quilt and to complete my crib mobile project.  Then we went baby girl clothes shopping!  It was so much fun hunting for the right little outfits and combined with the clothes we received from GiGi, we got a great start on filling her drawers and closet with 0-3 month clothes.  We enjoyed lunch and then came home for a much needed nap.  Thank you mom and Paige for a wonderful Saturday shopping trip!

Speaking of the crib mobile project, I think that it turned out really cute.  I enjoyed hand making each little owl and of course the hedgehog.  I started by cutting out the felt and piecing them together with a hand stitch and adding different design details to make each of them unique.

Then I stuffed them and added the star on each of their strings.  I covered the mobile arm and added a canopy.  Here are a few pictures of the finished project!

Now....onto the quilt...
