Christmas 2013

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by!  Now that Hannah is in our lives, every day has become much more crazy/fun/tiring/joyful.  Christmas included.  We were up early (as we are every morning since Hannah is an early riser) and I started a batch of cinnamon rolls.  We showered and got ready for the day.  Hannah spent the day in her Christmas pajamas.  They were so cute! We then headed over to my brother and sister-in-laws house to open presents.

Hannah seemed interested in the presents and wanted to hold them and put them in her mouth as soon as possible as you'll see in the video below.

She was quite blessed with presents including adorable clothes from Alabama, a whale sorter water toy, a froggy teething toy, a sweet casual dress and a play remote control.  Here are some more random pictures from the awesome morning.

Next we went to Kyle's grandparents house for another round of presents.

Here, she received reindeer slippers, a keyboard, pajamas and sponge bath toys.

Soon, it was time to go home.  We had kept Hannah up past her bed time and her screaming crying reflected that.  As we got her home and ready for bed, my older sister who had been working texted to ask if she could come over.  Of course we agreed thinking that Hannah would probably be fast asleep when she got here but that we could sit and chat.  Hannah had a different idea.  As Cosette was pulling into the driveway, Hannah (who was being rocked to sleep by Kyle) vomited.  It was everywhere!  Not to mention, Hannah was now wide awake despite it being quite past her bedtime.  We stripped off her vomit stained pajamas and she was happy as a clam opening her present from Aunt Cosette.  It was a cute vanity with a large mirror that sings and lights up.  She's enjoys grabbing whatever item you just put back in it's holder and tossing in on the ground for you to pick up.

After some playtime, we got her redressed in some nice new pajamas and she drifted off to sleep.  Kyle and I are so thankful that we were chosen to be the parents of such an amazing spirit.  She is our love and as we celebrate our Savior's birth this time of year, we can't help but be so grateful for Him and his sacrifice so that we can be a family now and in the eternities.  I hope everyone who reads this had a wonderful Christmas and remembers the true meaning of the season.

Classic!

Yesterday, Kyle and I took Hannah to get her first pictures with Santa.  As expected, she went from okay to crying in 1 second flat.  What's even more funny is before Kyle put Hannah in Santa's lap, he remarked how it would be funny to get one of those classic Santa pictures where the baby is crying.  He got his wish.  But we are happy with these pictures and look forward to celebrating her first Christmas in a couple of days!

A couple of cute videos

We have so enjoyed watching our little one grow in curiosity and personality.  Here are a couple of cute videos we happened to capture of our girl.  She has her 6 months appointment later today so I'll have some growth measurements to report.  She also has to get some shots so wish us luck!

Hannah's New Trick

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Grandma Rene' taught Hannah a new trick.  She really had fun with it and it makes me laugh every time.  Hannah has been busy this week learning new things.  Today she rolled from her back to her front for the first time.  She gets upset once she gets on her stomach because she gets stuck but it will only be a matter of time before she rolling all over the place.  It's so fun to see her grow!  Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!

Hannah's first vegetable

I'll let this video speak for itself.  The whole recording was about 7 minutes long so I put in the best faces she gave for you to see but pretty much the whole time she was eating she was making these types of faces. We thought it was great.

Pushing Up

This morning I realized just how good Hannah is at pushing up on her arms and I wanted to share a few pictures of her doing so well.  Love you baby!

The picture below is such a classic Hannah face. Love it.

Funny girl & Halloween pics

Hannah is getting more and more funny every day.  Today I was laying on the couch with my head propped up on the arm and Hannah was sitting on my chest.  Hannah was playing one of her favorite games which consists of pulling my glasses off my face.  She smiles so much when she can get them off and into her hands.  It's probably not the best game for my glasses as she is obviously too young to learn to be gentle but she is too cute to stop so we play.  When I tried to take my glasses back to clean off the little baby finger prints and slobber, she got really upset and let out a yell.  I laughed of course because her lips curled down into a oh-so cute frown.  I put my glasses back on my face and the game began again.  She got them off a second time and yelled again when I took them back. Hmmmm.....is that a tiny temper that is developing?  She is growing so big and I can hardly believe we are creeping up on 6 months.  She hasn't yet learned to roll from her back to her front but she gets on her side quite often.  I'm sure it won't be long before she gets all the way over.  She loves her jumper but like any activity she is doing, she doesn't like to be alone.  If I sit on the floor in front of the jumper, she will play for awhile before she gets sick of it.  It helps with being able to put her down but not so much with being able to get some housework done.  She does really well on car rides and loves to play with her car seat toys.  She is an early riser which usually means that we are up around 5:30-6:00 in the morning.  She goes to bed between 6:00-7:00pm with 1 night feeding though so I can't complain about her getting up early.  I love being home with her and watching her grow.  She is such a sweetheart.  I also love my hard working husband for putting in all the time at work and of course school to make our lives even better.  He is a great dad and I can't wait until Hannah is a little older so she can really experience her child-at-heart daddy.  We are truly blessed.

She is a huge fan of her fingers

That's a funny face!
       Love you we do!

Halloween 2013

Kyle is Rick from The Walking Dead, I am a marine and Hannah is a baby witch.

Hannah and her cousin Carter at the Halloween party.

Kyle did a great job decorating for our ward's Trunk-or-Treat.

Bundle baby

On Veteran's Day, Hannah and I got up early to help Kyle put flags out in people's yards.  Since the car doors were going to be opening and closing frequently, we knew we had to bundle our baby up good.  She was not impressed but we loved it!  She stayed warm and fell asleep about halfway through so we were able to finish.

I mentioned in a previous post that we are trying to get Hannah to fall asleep in her crib on her own.  I must admit that I still love to rock her so she doesn't always make it into her crib for her naps but she sure is cute when she sleeps!  Love you baby.

The leaves have fallen

Hannah and I enjoyed some mommy daughter time outside in the leaves a few days ago before it got too cold.  I think she really liked the change of scenery.

She is growing so fast! I can't believe she will be 5 months tomorrow. Love you Hannah bug!

Hannah Ann Waldron

Kyle and I couldn't be more proud of our Hannah Ann!  She is beautiful, full of life, and the star of our lives. At her 4 month appointment in October, she weighed 13 lbs 4 oz (36%) was 24 inches long (34%) and her head was 15.75 inches (19%).  Since I haven't posted anything since she was born, I'll try to tell her story in pictures to get caught up.

Birth: June 7, 2013
Weight: 6 lbs 13 oz
Length: 19.5"
Time/Place of birth: 1:41 am at St. Lukes Medical Hopsital Boise

1st photo shoot by Amanda Andrews

2 months
Weight: 8 lbs 1 oz (22%)

3 months
Weight: 11 lbs 1 oz (30%)
Length: 23" (46%)
Head size: 15.35" (32%)

Hannah's personality is coming out too.  She does not like to be left alone in a room where she can't see anyone.  After a little period of time looking around, she will begin to whine until she sees someone.  Most of the time when she does see you, she will smile and continue on with her activity.   She is learning to take naps in her crib but is resisting as much as her little body can.  She is definitely stubborn. She loves to kick her legs and can stand supported pretty good. She smiles when you kiss her cheeks and laughs when you whisper in her ear.  That is the only thing I can do to get her to laugh.  She loves chewing on her fingers and any other person's fingers she can get in her mouth.  She loves Lucy especially when Lucy gets close enough for her to grab at her fur.  We can't wait to see her continue to grow and show us who she is!
